Dean Raven is a 24 year old RnB, Pop and Soul singer/songwriter from Cardiff. Since early 2009 Dean has been writing his own material for his upcoming debut album “Thoughts Out Loud.”
Dean’s passion for up tempo RnB/Pop songs, along with an infusion of contempary soul can be heard within many of his songs that are set to feature on “Thoughts Out Loud.”
Over the years Dean has been influenced by many different legendary artists such as, Boyz II Men, Marvin Gaye, Elton John. However, in the more recent days, he’s become ever more influenced by the likes of Jason Derulo, Usher, Loick Essien, Adele, Jessie J, and Bruno Mars.
The first original track of Dean’s to be viewed by over 26,000 fans on YouTube was the self written, romantic pop ballad “You & I.”
Soon to follow was “Day Dream Girl.” This track received many mixed reviews, mainly focusing on the over use of Auto-Tune, as fans felt Dean’s soulful and unique voice was not being showcased as before. However, this song has still been a huge hit, again with over 10,000 views
