Paulini Curuenavuli (born on 15 October 1982) known simply as, Paulini, is an Australian R&B singer, songwriter and actress who was born in Suva, Fiji and moved to Sydney at the age of 4. Paulini rose to fame as one of the most popular contestants on the first series of Australian Idol in 2003, in which she placed fourth in the competition.
Since Idol, Paulini has released two studio albums with Sony Music, One Determined Heart & Superwoman as well an EP, Amazing Grace: Songs for Christmas. Her debut album, One Determined Heart, released in July, 2004, included her number one hit "Angel Eyes" that won her two "Aria No. 1 Chart Awards". Both for the single and album The album was certified platinum, for sales in excess of 70,000 copies sold in Australia. Her sophomore album, Superwoman released on August 5, 2006, received 2 nominations for the "Aus/Nz Urban Music Awards" in 2007 for categories including, "Best R&B Album of the Year" & "Best Female Artist" From 2006 to 2008, Paulini was a member of the multiple platinum selling girl group Young Divas, making her music career even more of a success.
On November 23 2009, Paulini released her brand new single, "Scarless" (first single after leaving Young Divas), to help raise awareness for "White Ribbon Day" and the "White Ribbon Campaign" That same year also saw Paulini inking a publishing record deal with Albert Music (home to AC/DC) and is now currently preparing for the release of her "third studio album", expected to be out in the second half of 2010.
