Moe Pope has been a journey man in hip-hop starting out in the Bay Area with Mission (now known as Crown City Rockers) in 2001 with their debut LP One. He would later move to Boston and link up with Insight and form up the 5 man crew Electric Co. who released a a great album in 2003 with Life's a Struggle. Breaking off from the Electric Co, Moe Pope joined up with Raheem Jamal and Annonymous to form Project Move. They released a solid album in Love Gone Wrong/Butterfly Theory in 2006 that featured the classic 'Yao Ming' track. Moe Pope's last effort saw him re-link up with beatsmith Headnodic of the Crown City Rockers as they released Megaphone in 2008 to some critical acclaim. In 2010 Pope has linked up with newcomer Rain to drop an absolute gem of an hip-hop album that has equal amounts of quality on the raps and the production. The relationship between the beats and rhymes on Life After God is like a match made in heaven for hip-hop junkies. Rain has made his mark with the production on this album and will definitely be finding himself some more work in the future.
