В 1999 году они записали первое демо под названием "The Long Forgotten Demo". Год спустя к группе присоединился вокалист Гатри Иддингс (Guthrie Iddings), и в таком составе Daylight Dies выпустили своё второе демо - "Idle", вышедшее на Tribunal Records.
