Ayers, Kevin “Joy Of A Toy” 1969 – первый сольный альбом музыканта. Стилистически 10 песен пластинки не выходят за рамки мини-шедевриков с причудами в стиле поздний Битлз – ранний Пинк Флойд, однако уровень инструменталистов, задействованных при записи (а это едва ли не весь Soft Machine первого призыва) добавляет материалу изощренности и спонтанности. Town Feeling явно аранжирована Бедфордом, Song For Insane Times близка джазу кентерберийского разлива, а носящая явно экспериментальный характер и наполовину шумовая Oleh Oleh Bandu Bandong содержит весьма новаторски расписанные вокальные пачки. Один из альбомов, в которые интересно вглядеться пристально. (prog-rock/beat/pop/jazz)
